Telephone Interview

If your application progresses through to the Telephone Interview stage, you will receive a call from a HOBAN Recruitment consultant.

What is involved?

This Telephone Interview will take approximately 20 minutes. It may include -

  • clarification of some areas on your online application form
  • one behavioural based question
  • one motivational based question

To familiarise yourself with a behavioural-based question approach refer to the “Individual Interview” section detailed in the Assessment Centre stage.

When contacted to book the 20 minute telephone interview, please advise the HOBAN consultant of an agreed time that suits you.

Telephone Interview Tips

When preparing for your telephone interview please ensure -

  • you will be somewhere quiet for the entire duration of the telephone interview
  • if on a mobile phone ensure you have adequate reception

If you are unable to participate in the 20 minute phone interview when contacted, please let the HOBAN Recruitment team know and an alternative time will be arranged.

There may be instances when HOBAN are limited to the telephone interview times they can offer you if they are restricted by the recruitment time lines, however they will try to arrange a time that is convenient.

Note: If your application does not progress past the Telephone Interview stage, you are eligible to reapply three months from the date you are notified.
