The executive team for each prison meets with the Volume Recruitment and Projects Team to review all applications for their location and determine candidates’ suitability for the Prison Officer position.

During this process, we may contact you to clarify certain information from your application.

Following this review, the order of merit is finalised and offers are made based on the order of merit. Successful candidates are contacted by the Volume Recruitment and Projects Team and invited to attend the Prison Officer Induction Session.

If there are more successful candidates than vacant positions, the Volume Recruitment and Projects Team will contact all candidates to discuss the possibility of remaining on order of merit for future positions.
