Suitability Assessment

What is Suitability Assessment?

The suitability assessments contain a series of questions designed to assess workplace values, behaviours and skills that are critical to the Community Corrections Officer role. All the assessments used in this recruitment process have been designed by psychologists and have been thoroughly researched for their use in a variety of settings, including recruitment/occupational settings.

How will I take the assessments?

Suitability assessments are completed online and comprise of timed and un-timed assessments. Full details will be sent through to the email address you supplied on your original application form if you go through to this stage.

The Suitability Assessment is completed in two stages. Should you progress past Stage 1, you will be emailed Stage 2.  The assessments will have a completion date/time, but if you are not able to meet the deadline, please call a member of the HOBAN Recruitment Projects team on 1300 304 128.

All you need to complete this assessment is the ability to type in your personal details and to use a mouse. Make sure you are in a quiet and private environment where you can concentrate on completing the assessments.

Please note: If your application does not progress past the Suitability Assessment Stage your results will stand for 12 months. You will be eligible to reapply 12 months from the date you are notified of your results.

Will I get a copy of my results?

No, but you can receive verbal feedback once you have been notified of the outcome of your application. This feedback will not provide you information on your responses to specific questions as this is not permitted by the assessment developers.

Please contact the HOBAN Recruitment and Projects Team if you have any concerns or would like to discuss this further.
