General Manager
The General Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of all community correctional services across a region and for delivering strategic outcomes to address issues affecting the region and CCS as a whole.
Operations Manager
The Operations Manager is responsible for managing financial and human resources of one or two CCS Locations and is a member of the Regional Management Team. The focus of the role is on day-to-day operations of the Location(s) and engagement/development of partnerships with local community services, including Courts and Prisons.
Understanding of local and regional issues affecting the location(s) is a core part of the role, and the Operations Manager will provide leadership in addressing such issues.
Officer in Charge
The Officer in Charge acts as an operations supervisor at a Community Correctional Services location. The Officer in Charge is often the most senior person at a location if there is no Operations Manager present.
They are responsible for managing staff and overseeing the office functions of a smaller CCS location. Officers in Charge may be required to act as an Operations Manager if the Operations Manager is absent.
Regionalised Community Work Program Manager
The Regionalised Community Work Program Manager holds accountability for the development and operations of the community work program within the region.
They are also responsible for partnership management and engagement, development of offender community work training opportunities, staff management and the delivery of strategic outcomes across the region.
This will involve negotiation and liaison with internal and external stakeholders/groups, holding forums/meetings, completing detailed and complex documentation and reports, the management of resources and a high level of accountability.
Senior Community Corrections Officers (SCCOs)

SCCOs are team leaders of a team of case management or community work staff members at a Community Correctional Services location.
They are responsible for managing staff, including performance management, as well as monitoring and supervising a small number of significantly complex offenders. SCCOs also contribute to monthly reporting in relation to key performance indicators.
In addition, SCCOs are required to act as Officer in Charge at locations, when the location’s Operations Manager is absent.
Specialist Case Managers (SCMs)

Specialist Case Managers (SCMs) are responsible for delivering high quality case management to a caseload of the highest priority sex offenders under community supervision.
SCMs will be responsible for ensuring that the nature of sex offender management aligns with best practice initiatives, including managing offenders in line with the Good Lives Model of Offender Rehabilitation (a strength-based approach that is one of the underpinnings of Corrections Victoria’s Offender Management Framework).
SCMs will also be required to provide advice and mentoring to other correctional staff who are supervising lower priority sex offenders.
Community Work Program Manager
The Regionalised Community Work Program Manager holds accountability for the development and operations of the community work program within the region.
They are also responsible for partnership management and engagement, development of offender community work training opportunities, staff management and the delivery of strategic outcomes across the region.
This will involve negotiation and liaison with internal and external stakeholders/groups, holding forums/meetings, completing detailed and complex documentation and reports, the management of resources and a high level of accountability.
Leading Community Corrections Officers (LCCOs)

LCCOs monitor and supervise higher risk offenders or those with complex needs. LCCOs also coach less experienced staff, and are often asked to take on more challenging portfolios and case management roles. Some LCCOs have a specialist portfolio responsibility of case managing the needs of Indigenous offenders.
A major part of the Indigenous LCCO role involves providing culturally appropriate guidance and counselling to Indigenous offenders, assisting them to participate in programs and community work and developing strong links with Indigenous agencies.
Some LCCOs specialise in the case management and provision of a coordinated system of support to female offenders.
Community Corrections Officers (CCOs)
Community Corrections Officers (CCOs) monitor and supervise offenders sentenced by the Courts to serve community based orders or those released from prison on parole.
CCOs undertake a wide range of duties to assist in the case management of offenders in the community and reduce the risk of re-offending.
Typically, you will be assigned a caseload of offenders to manage and will be responsible for ensuring that offenders comply with the conditions of the Court or Parole Order.
Community Corrections Officers (Community Work)
Some Community Corrections Officers work as Community Work Coordinators in Regional Community Work Teams. These staff engage with our Community Work partner organisations and determine the most suitable sites for offenders to complete their community work, ensuring these sites provide a safe work environment.
Field Officers
Field Officers play a critical role within the Regional Community Work Teams. Field Officers supervise offenders at community work sites, ensuring their tasks are conducted in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
Acting as key role models in their work, Field Officers must represent the Department in a professional and ethical manner at all times and promote the rehabilitative benefits of community work programs to offenders in order to enhance community safety.
